The Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility (CGHSR) is part of the University of Minnesota Academic Health Center (AHC). Together with schools and colleges across the University of Minnesota (U of M) we champion four portfolios of activities: network development, education, research, and capacity.

Network development

Goal: Advance networks of affiliated sites focused on global health to support interdisciplinary education, training, and research collaborations for the U of M and partners. Emphasis centers on hubs of innovation.

Goal: Strengthen the infrastructure supporting global health research and education at the U of M Academic Health Center.

Goal: Champion interdisciplinary opportunities to exchange knowledge and expand abilities of teachers and learners for the advancement of global health.

Goal: Catalyze effective global health research at the University of Minnesota, as well as in our networks and hubs.

Focus and strengthen the impact of the University of Minnesota’s (U of M) global land grant mission with regard to health issues at the interface of humans, animals and ecosystems. We accomplish this by facilitating trans-disciplinary partnerships and collaborations across the U of M and worldwide.
