NIH Fogarty Global Health Fellowship Applications Now Open
Applications for the National Institutes of Health Fogarty Global Health Fellowship are now open and due Sept. 15, 2026.
This fellowship provides medical students and postdocs the opportunity to spend a full year immersed in mentored global health research at an international location, with opportunities to build research skills, work alongside local collaborators, and contribute to projects with real-world public health relevance.
The program is designed for those interested in pursuing a career in research, and offers fellowship opportunities in Kenya, Cameroon, Uganda, Ghana, Peru, Thailand, Nepal, and India.
The fellowship offers a monthly stipend along with dedicated research and travel funds. Past fellows have gone on to careers in research and health. The experience provides fellows an entry point into clinical research in addition to numerous opportunities to network and build institutional relationships.
The Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility is a member of the Northern Pacific Global Health (NPGH) Research Fellows Training Consortium, which operationalizes the fellowship. Fellows join the broader NPGH research fellows cohort, which provides peer connection and core competency training throughout the fellowship year.
