AHC Thailand Hub Launches
The Academic Health Center has formally launched the Thailand Hub based in Chiang Mai following a University of Minnesota delegation visit to Thailand in February 2016.
Built on 25 years of joint education initiatives and collaborative research, this is the AHC’s second Hub of Innovation. The Hub is guided by the Minnesota-Thailand Interest Group, a growing group comprised of representatives from the University of Minnesota and from universities and organizations in Thailand who share an interest in furthering collaborative activities and efforts in global health.
In late April, the U of M hosted a delegation from Chiang Mai University (CMU), a key partnership of the Hub. During the visit, University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler and CMU President Niwes Nantachit signed an affiliation agreement deepening their commitment to continued and expanded collaboration in global health research and education.
