Sophia Iaquinta, RN, PHN, is a graduate student at the University of Minnesota currently pursuing a doctor of nursing practice degree and a master’s of public health. She has a background in critical care nursing and public health and was also the nurse coordinator for the Afghan Refugee Health Responses in Minnesota. Iaquinta's CGHSR Scholar project is entitled, "Strategies for Critical Thinking Skill Development in the IOM Nursing Workforce with an Interdisciplinary Focus."


"The goal of this project is to design and implement a multi-tiered capacity-building intervention that targets the general nursing workforce, expert nurse educators, and four interdisciplinary mobile health response teams to cultivate critical thinking skills."
