Global Health Day 2024: Call for Poster Abstracts

The Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility is accepting poster abstract submissions for Global Health Day 2024.

University of Minnesota undergraduate, graduate and professional students are welcome to submit an abstract. The submission deadline is Friday, March 29.

Poster abstracts can be submitted for the following categories:

  • Research: Scientific presentation on research in the field of global health.
  • Global Health Topic, Project or Reflection: Present on a global health-related class project; a topic that interests you; or reflect on your global health experience, which could include courses, internships or other experiences.

Abstracts submitted to the “research” category must be completed in a scientific poster abstract format, with the following or similar categories: background, methods, findings, interpretation and acknowledgements.

Abstract formats for other submissions are at the submitter's discretion. Students submitting a project from a specific class should include the course number and faculty name in the abstract. Abstracts must be no longer than 400 words.

Students who submit an abstract will be notified if their poster has been selected for the showcase and must submit their poster within ten days of notice of acceptance. CGHSR will reach out to students with details on poster specifics and submission guidelines after accepting an abstract submission.

Global Health Day takes place on Thursday, April 18, in HSEC room 2-110 from 5 – 7 p.m. In addition to the poster showcase, the event will include a panel on promoting equity in global health work.
