IWD 2024 | Empowering Women, Transforming Lives: A Global Celebration of Safe Motherhood
Join us for an incredible evening at the Weisman Art Museum as we celebrate International Women's Day 2024 with a global event dedicated to safe motherhood. This in-person gathering will take place on Thursday, March 14, 2024, starting at 5:00 PM (CST).
Disparities in women’s health outcomes are the result of social, cultural, political, and systemic barriers which can and should be prevented. Approximately 830 women die every day in childbirth; ninety-four percent in developing countries. The Global Women’s Health initiative at the Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility (CGHSR) is committed to building a world where every woman can achieve her full potential, no matter the lottery of her birth.
Get ready to be inspired by the debut of our new mini-documentary, engaging speakers, and a feature from our global partners, all centered around the importance of ensuring safe motherhood for women worldwide. This event aims to raise awareness, foster dialogue, and promote action towards creating a safer and healthier future for mothers everywhere.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and be a part of the movement for safe motherhood and obstetric care. Mark your calendars and stay tuned for more details!
