Despite an historic April blizzard, Global Health Day had impressive attendance and, with student presenters representing ten different schools and colleges, was a successful showcase of the breadth and depth of global health work happening across the disciplines at the University of Minnesota. CGHSR extends many thanks to everyone who braved the weather to attend. Congratulations again to those selected and recognized as our Student & Scholar Oral Presenter and to the winners of Outstanding Poster awards.
A full recap, including a complete video archive, of Global Health Day 2016 is now available. Thanks once again to everyone who helped make the day a success. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
Thanks to all who shared in the celebration of CGHSR’s third annual Global Health Day! We enjoyed hearing and learning from researchers on each side of the ongoing collaboration between the University of Minnesota and Makerere University in Uganda. It was energizing to see the wide variety of schools/colleges, areas of study, perspectives, and diverse identities represented by the attendees and poster presenters.
