Global Health Day
Get ready for Global Health Day on April 13, 2019. Abstract submissions are open for student Poster and Oral Presentations. The purpose of these presentations is to celebrate the work of our global health community and to cultivate an interdisciplinary exchange around global health topics. Presentations are open to all UMN students, residents, postdocs and fellows and allow students to build valuable professional and communication skills. Deadline for Oral Presentation consideration is Feb 19; Deadline for Poster Presentations is Feb 27.
Despite an historic April blizzard, Global Health Day had impressive attendance and, with student presenters representing ten different schools and colleges, was a successful showcase of the breadth and depth of global health work happening across the disciplines at the University of Minnesota. CGHSR extends many thanks to everyone who braved the weather to attend. Congratulations again to those selected and recognized as our Student & Scholar Oral Presenter and to the winners of Outstanding Poster awards.
A full recap, including a complete video archive, of Global Health Day 2016 is now available. Thanks once again to everyone who helped make the day a success. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
Thanks to all who shared in the celebration of CGHSR’s third annual Global Health Day! We enjoyed hearing and learning from researchers on each side of the ongoing collaboration between the University of Minnesota and Makerere University in Uganda. It was energizing to see the wide variety of schools/colleges, areas of study, perspectives, and diverse identities represented by the attendees and poster presenters.
