Global Health Case Competition
CGHSR is excited to announce that the UMN Global Health Case Compeition team earned both Second Place and tied for the Participants' Choice Award at the 2018 International Emory Global Health Case Compeition this past weekend at Emory University. The multidisciplinary team spent a full week examining the case, "An Epidemic Offsides: Containing an Outbreak During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar". Twenty-four teams from colleges and universities across the world presented their proposals and four advanced to the final round.
Interdisciplinary teams presented their solutions to this year's case, Growing Pains: Palliative Care in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea on January 27, following a week of intense work. Congratulations to Team 6 for their winning proposal. We wish them luck as they begin to prepare for the Emory International Global Health Case Competition.
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the 2017 U of M Global Health Case Competition! Thirteen teams spent the week immersed in the global topic of sex trafficking, seeking local solutions for the city of Atlanta. Team 4 emerged the winner and will advance to compete in the Emory International Global Health Case Competition at the end of March.
And they're off! Thirteen teams of 4-6 students, from across the AHC and the rest of the university, are spending this week diligently researching, writing, analyzing, and critically considering solutions to this year's case for the Global Health Case Competition.
