Despite an historic April blizzard, Global Health Day had impressive attendance and, with student presenters representing ten different schools and colleges, was a successful showcase of the breadth and depth of global health work happening across the disciplines at the University of Minnesota. CGHSR is excited to announce that the UMN Global Health Case Compeition team earned both Second Place and tied for the Participants' Choice Award at the 2018 International Emory Global Health Case Compeition this past weekend at Emory University. The multidisciplinary team spent a full week examining the case, "An Epidemic Offsides: Containing an Outbreak During the 2022 World Cup in Qatar". Twenty-four teams from colleges and universities across the world presented their proposals and four advanced to the final round.
