UMN Global Health Needs Assessment - Share Your Input!
The Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility (CGHSR) facilitates transdisciplinary partnerships and collaborations across the University of Minnesota and worldwide. Together with schools and colleges of the University of Minnesota, particularly within the Academic Health Center (AHC), we are engaged in three portfolios of global health activities: education, research, and capacity. While CGHSR is engaged with activities across the globe, we are uniquely positioned to support activities in East Africa and Southeast Asia and we are actively exploring the potential to support work in Latin America and the Caribbean. CGHSR offers practical support in several areas, including travel and on-the-ground logistics, contracts and other agreements with international partners, networking, and research resources. See information on the CGHSR Uganda Hub for an example of our work in this area.
The purpose of this survey is to understand the practical needs of the University community related to global health activities, particularly in East Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean. This survey defines global health activities broadly and includes research, education, training, and capacity building. We plan to use the results of this survey to guide future strategic decisions related to services offered. Your input is greatly appreciated. Note that, at this stage, CGHSR seeks to gather information about needs and that implementation of suggestions will be dependent on broader University/AHC strategies and other factors.
We are looking to solicit feedback from across the University of Minnesota. We hope to survey faculty, staff, students, and alumni. If you are willing to share the survey with colleagues, we would welcome having the survey circulated among your University network by sharing the link to this page.
If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Erin Mann at firstname.lastname@example.org.
