Response to executive order on visas and immigration

February 2, 2017

CGHSR wishes to express our concern around President Trump's January 29 executive order suspending entry of all refugees as well as most foreign nationals of 7 majority-Muslim countries into the United States.  We stand with colleagues and friends at the University of Minnesota and around the world in our concern for impact on global health, as well as detrimental implications for academia, research, education, and innovation.

We echo the sentiments expressed in statements from University leadership:

Statement from President Eric W. Kaler

Statement from Vice President for Health Sciences Brooks Jackson
