Humanitarian Crisis Simulation 2019
On May 17 to 19th, 50 learners and nearly 150 instructors, facilitators, and volunteers came together in Hudson, Wisconsin for the 6th UMN Humanitarian Crisis Simulation. Participants from a range of academic and professional disciplines were formed into teams representing NGO responders, that set out to assess an unraveling crisis depicted by role players and props scattered through the sprawling wooded site. The crisis involved thousands of refugees, health issues, security concerns, and insufficient resources. Thanks to all that gave countless hours to help make this opportunity possible.
