CGHSR Releases 2023 Annual Report
The Center for Global Health and Social Responsibility (CGHSR) has released its 2023 annual report.
The report compiles all of the work CGHSR completed in 2023 through its education, research and capacity building initiatives.
“We’re releasing this report to show you what we do and the impact that we’ve made since our
founding in 2010,” CGHSR Executive Director Shailey Prasad, MD, MPH, states in the report’s opening letter.
“But we also hope this information serves as evidence that equitable approaches to global health are not only more beneficial to all parties involved, but also more than capable of producing impactful results that have immense potential to advance global health education, research and training.”
The report details the Center’s work ensuring ethical principles in international partnerships in addition to its accomplishments in supporting University of Minnesota faculty, staff and students.

- Providing the greater UMN community with $349,870 in funding awards for projects focused on numerous disciplines, ranging from zoonotic disease in Pakistan to gender-based violence in Bolivia
