Chiang Mai University Research Collaborative

The University of Minnesota has held a longstanding partnership with Chiang Mai University (CMU), placing a high priority on mutual benefit and exchange. This research collaborative builds on joint education initiatives and collaborative research studies that have been ongoing for the last 25 years.

NIH Fogarty Global Health Fellowship

These 12-month research fellowships provide outstanding opportunities for highly motivated doctoral students and postdocs to experience research training at research sites in Kenya, Cameroon, Uganda, Ghana, Liberia, Peru, Thailand, Nepal and India.

Medical and Surgical Skills Institute Partnership

Since early 2020, CGHSR has partnered with the Medical and Surgical Skills Institute (MSSI) in Ghana to facilitate global capacity building activities. The MSSI is a health training center that provides medical and surgical skills training to advance health care in West Africa.

Uganda Research Training Collaborative 

The Uganda Research Training Collaborative (URTC) is a program for students with the University of Minnesota and participating institutions in Uganda, including Makerere University and Mbarara University of Science and Technology, to gain hands-on experience in global health research.
