Minnesota-Uganda Partnerships Group
This group represents colleges, schools and units engaged with or interested in engaging as partners between Minnesota and Uganda with potential for impact on the central and east Africa region.
Members volunteer as faculty, staff or students interested in furthering efforts and activity in their unit and partner programs. This new partnership group helps coordinate the health sciences’ growing presence and engagement within the University and Uganda in global health. Goals of this group include:
- To advise on global health programs, investments, affiliations and opportunities that complement a One Health commitment focused in Uganda with a potential for reach to the central and east Africa region.
- To champion partnerships and commitments in creating a global portfolio of One Health research, learning and engagement in Uganda with a potential for reach to the central and east Africa region.
- To act as a voice within units and across the university for global health initiatives in Uganda and the central and east Africa region.
- To share in the development of support systems for global health research, learning, and engagement in Uganda that complement and add efficiency to college, school and unit functions
