Our India program is a fully embedded educational experience that aligns with our vision of social responsibility in global health education.
Join a dynamic, interdisciplinary group of learners during the 2020–2021 winter break course in Mysore, India to explore health, health care delivery, and social determinants in the context of globalization in India. This course is taught through a combination of classroom-based activities and site visits to health care facilities, cultural sites, and community locations.
This course is open to graduate and professional students with academic credit offered at the University of Minnesota. Past cohorts have included students from public health, medicine, public policy, education, social work, and more. This 2 and half week course occurs at the end of December 2020 into January 2021 with the option to extend for a 2- or 4-week clinical placement.
India: Global Health, Globalization and Leadership Course
This hands-on program provides a global health team-based learning experience with field observations in Mysore, India.
India: Mysore Placement Course
This placement is a 2- to 4-week project related to public health, health care delivery, and/or other community activities located in or around Mysore, India.
